You Deserve Photos of Your Entire Family
A relaxed and playful portrait experience for dogs, kids, and the people that love them in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Pets are a part of your family tree!
Many believe that bringing their dog to a portrait studio is too much hassle. And a family portrait session, especially including pets, would be chaos. I get it, I'm a mom, a business owner and I have three pets at home. I also know how treasured these portraits become over time.
- Worried about how your dogs or kids might behave?
- Unsure if you want to be in the photos?
- Concerned a custom photoshoot will be too demanding in terms of time and effort?
“If you’ve seen her photos, you already know Cyndi has an incredible eye. But until you experience her in action you have no idea how lucky you are to have found her. Count your blessings!”
"Wow!!! They are fantastic! I am thrilled with the pictures. I also wanted to tell you that Lincoln said that you were the best photographer he's ever had take his picture.
“Truly, the pictures are amazing. The large print metal is wonderful. Thank you so very much."
"This is our 3rd session with Cyndi. She is fantastic and her photos & ordering options are great. She works wonders with humans and dogs alike to make everyone at ease. We couldn't be happier with the results."
“The photos are wonderful. It is so hard to choose among them.”
“I absolutely love them! The print-on metal portrait has arrived. Its breathtakingly beautiful. The expression in his eyes is really amazing. You do such great work!“
"We couldn't be happier with the photos of our daughter. They were a Father's Day gift and my husband literally cried when he saw them."
"Cyndi takes the time to ask all the right questions about your dog's personality and disposition. Thanks for capturing precious moments of my best friend."
"We had a wonderful experience with Cyndi. We went over to her studio to have pictures of our two-rescue canine babies taken. Cyndi was very patient with our youngest, who was very scared. The picture turned out so great and we were very happy with the results. I would highly recommend Cyndi for your puppy (and human) pictures!"
"This was the most amazing experience for my daughter and her puppy. The pictures turned out absolutely fabulous I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!!! Every single picture is amazing."
Portraits are just as eternal as the love of our pets and children.

Hi I’m Cyndi. I’m a pet and child photographer but more importantly, I am a mom and a lifelong dog lover.
I grew up with my doggie best friend, Heidi, and my son grew up with Jasmine, his Dalmatian sister. I know exactly how special the bond we develop with our furry best friend is.
With over 13 years of experience photographing kids, pets, and the families who love them, I've developed a calm, laid-back style that makes subjects comfortable. Smiles and hugs come naturally and we focus on your connections.

This past weekend I drove out to Alameda and met Sophie and her humans. She is a very mellow and sweet pit/lab/shar pei mix. Beautiful pit mix /dog, great personality and such a smooth coat I couldn’t stop petting her. Heidi and Brian rescued her back in February from Oakland Animal Services when at the […]Read More
Today I want you to meet Wyatt, my second session from last weekend. While it was sunny and beautiful everywhere else that day, by the time we got to Baker beach the fog had rolled in. Ah well, Wyatt looked pretty good against an all white backdrop! We were lucky though because about 20 minutes […]Read More
Last weekend I had another Smile for a Cure session and met Charlie and Peanut, two senior red daschunds with their noses to ground sniffing for treats. They didn’t sit still much, well actually, they barely stopped moving for more than 5 seconds so they kept me on my toes! Nothing daunted I followed them […]Read More
Another session from last week was this cutie named Kip. I first met Kip and his human, Kristie, at the Bay to Barkers event in July when they stopped by to have their photo taken. We had our session at Refugio park in Hercules and Kip was a great subject despite all the activity going […]Read More
It was busy weekend at Chickpea Photography Studio this Labor Day. We were busy, busy, busy following dogs with the camera. Today I want you all to meet Mimi and Lori. We played together at Albany Beach where both Mimi and Lori displayed their posing abilities and their love of the beach. Lori and Mimi […]Read More
Before I head off for Tahoe with the family for a week of communing with nature I have a sneak peak for you of my recent session at dogtime.com in San Francisco. Now obviously Murray is not a dog, but he is the office mascot at DogTime and they have just launched their partner site […]Read More
Yesterday, between rain showers (on Memorial Day weekend no less!), I got to spend some time with a kitty named Pharoah the cat. Very sweet boy who tolerated the camera in his face pretty well. Pharoah was rescued by his humans about a year ago when the neighbors moved and left him behind. Now he […]Read More
